Dozens of vehicles seized by Birmingham’s local policing teams
West Midlands Police provided an update on its battle against vehicle crime earlier today (April 4).

It said acting on concerns about vehicle crime is a top priority for officers, and this week neighbourhood officers in Birmingham have recovered and seized dozens of vehicles.
In just one day, the Sparkbrook neighbourhood team recovered 21 vehicles which weren’t taxed.
The Force said it knows this has been an ongoing concern for people in the area, and more operations are planned to deal with the issue
This has been happening across the city, and vehicles with no tax have also been seized this week by neighbourhood officers in Washwood Heath and Edgbaston.
West Midlands Police are also working together to tackle vehicle theft, and Birmingham’s neighbourhood teams are helping recover stolen vehicles.

In Erdington, officers located a vehicle which had been stolen last week. It’ll be forensically examined before being returned to its owner.
Elsewhere, officers in Winson Green also found a vehicle just a few hours after it had been reported as stolen, while in Billesley neighbourhood recovered a stolen motorbike.
Meanwhile in Hodge Hill, officers have been listening to people’s concerns about problem parking, and are patrolling hotspot areas and issuing tickets.
