The 24-year-old rapist, of Holybush Road, Albrighton, is due to be sentenced today (February 25) for 26 counts of sexual offences and breaching his bail conditions.

The jury at Wolverhampton Crown Court took less than two days to find him guilty after a month-long trial that started in November last year. His crimes included sexually abusing a girl multiple times, sexually abusing a boy, raping a teenage actress he was teaching and abusing other pupils.

He was allowed to walk free over Christmas and New Year after being found guilty pending his sentencing but was taken into custody last week after he breached his bail restrictions.

During his trial, prosecutors described Westwood as a "supreme manipulator" who would use stardom to prey on his victims.

His breakthrough year was in 2018 when he played the leading role in Peter Pan The Musical at the Blue Orange Theatre, Birmingham. He also clinched his first movie role, playing a fireman in action thriller Outlawed. He also landed a part in BBC drama Doctors playing a young solicitor.
