Man arrested in Wolverhampton on suspicion of murder after man dies in Walsall
Police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Walsall at the weekend
Officers from West Midlands Police were called to Lichfield Street just before 5am on Saturday, December 7.
A man aged 51 was found unconscious with injuries, and despite best efforts, he sadly died at the scene.
Today, Monday, December 9, an update has been issued to announce an arrest which has been made.
At around 9pm yesterday, Sunday, December 8, the Force arrested a man aged 32 in Wolverhampton on suspicion of murder.
He remains in custody today as the investigation continues, while police continue to support the victim’s family.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police, said: "We’ve arrested a man on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Walsall at the weekend.
"We were called to Lichfield Street just before 5am on Saturday.
"A man aged 51 was found unconscious with injuries, and despite best efforts, he sadly died at the scene.
"At around 9pm yesterday (Sunday), we arrested a man aged 32 in Wolverhampton on suspicion of murder.
"He remains in custody today as our investigation continues, while we continue to support the victim’s family.
