Darren Kimberley phoned the hospital his victim was being operated on nine times pretending to be a relative who had actually died in order to tell him not to tell the police.
Kimberley, 54, harassed his victim for months in Oldbury and even convinced his then girlfriend to lie to the police to give him an alibi. Which caused Mishelle Bibb, 44, of Mehdi Road, Oldbury, to get an eight week sentence for perverting the course of justice, which was suspended.
Kimberley, of Tennell Road, Quinton, unleashed a vicious campaign of violence in January 2021 and intimidation against his victim, including numerous visits to his Oldbury home and threatening to throw acid in his mothers face. Kimberley pleaded guilty for wounding with intent and perverting the course of justice before a trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
