Fare dodger who tried avoiding £25 ticket ends up with much bigger bill at court
Trying to avoid paying a £24.60 rail fare has landed a young man with a court bill of more than £500.

Amandeep Kaur, from Cygnet Road, West Bromwich, was caught on an Avanti West Coast train between Preston and Crewe on July 12 last year without a ticket.
The case against the 20-year-old was proved in his absence at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court on December 15.
