Katy Murphy, of Stourbridge, was employed by care company Integra Supported Housing Ltd to help the male victims with daily tasks including taking them on shopping trips.

Wolverhampton Crown Court, sitting at the city's magistrates court, heard that the 42-year-old previously admitted two offences of fraud between March 2021 and March 2022 relating to sums of more than £16,445.

Prosecuting barrister Miss Mia McNevin said her crimes came to light when one victim complained that £14,085 had vanished from his account and that Murphy, of Bridgnorth Road, Wollaston, had access to his pin number.

The mother-of-one used his card to purchase a TV, an electronic tablet and wireless earphones, racking up shopping bills of over £1,000 at JD Sports, Next, Tesco, the Post Office plus on petrol, and withdrew around £10,500 in cash in three months.
