Teenage boy sentenced after being caught by police with two knives
A 17-year-old boy from Tipton has pleaded guilty to possessing two knives, after being arrested during a knife arch operation at West Bromwich Bus Station.
The incident occurred on September 27, when the team deployed the knife arch in the bus station and a 17-year-old boy started to run away after seeing officers.
He was detained, searched, and the two weapons were recovered by police.
Appearing at Wolverhampton Youth Court on October 18 he pleaded guilty and received an eight month referral order.
The weapons which were seized by police will now be destroyed.
