Police officers were called to Thorpe Road in Palfrey in Walsall by some of the defendants on the morning of May 21, 2020 after violence broke out at about 6.15.

During the violence a man suffered a hand injury and the window of a semi-detached house was smashed.

Mr Simon Burch, prosecuting barrister, told the jury at Wolverhampton Crown Court that all four defendants were on trial for an offence of affray. He said it was unclear what the dispute was about, but that were was "beef" between the parties.

He said all were armed and that the clash was pre-arranged.

"This case concerns an episode of violence involving two rival groups in which the defendants were a part. The defendants are not necessarily friends and there is no love lost between them.
