A5 crash motorist banned from road after pleading guilty to causing Walsall man's death
A 22-year-old driver has been given a road ban for admitting causing the death of a man in a crash.
Ross Hartland, 40, from Walsall, died 12 days after a collision involving a silver Ford Focus and a blue Audi Quattro on the A5 eastbound near Shenstone near Lichfield on July 15 last year.
Yesterday, Audi driver Sean Bee pleaded guilty at Stafford Crown Court to causing his death by driving without due care and attention.
The defendant spoke only to confirm his name and his guilty plea.
Several members of the victim’s family were in court for the hearing.
Addressing them, Judge John Edwards said: “I wish to express the court’s profound sympathy to Ross’s family and friends.”
