Walsall nightclub murder victim was stabbed for standing in killer's 'territory'
A young man stabbed to death on a Walsall nightclub dance floor was an 'innocent victim of circumstance'.
That's the view of the man who led the investigation into the killing of Akeem Francis-Kerr, who died at Valesha's nightclub just after 5am on March 11 after being knifed in the neck.
On Wednesday, Edward Wilson was convicted of murdering the 29-year-old.
During the trial at Stafford Crown Court, jurors heard that any dispute between the killer and his victim, as well as the fatal attack, may have been over Mr Francis-Kerr standing in Wilson's 'territory'.
However, Detective Inspector Adi George said whatever the reason, it was a senseless killing.
