Chad Henderson stabbed Nathan Burton four times in the chest at the address in Woodhurst Road, Moseley, shortly before 11pm on April 7, 2021.

Nathan Burton had been sent to the flat where Chad Henderson was living in order to evict him for not paying rent.

The 27-year-old victim, a security guard from Wednesfield and father to a young daughter, was dragged back down the stairs by his colleagues but collapsed in the street.

He tragically died hours after being taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

After the attack, Henderson rung the police to tell them what he had done, saying he had acted in self defence.

The American national refused to appear in court and was also unrepresented by legal counsel.

However, following a trial he was found guilty of murder at Birmingham Crown Court today. He will be sentenced next month.
