Female police officer punched in the throat amid attack during Black Country domestic abuse arrest
A female police officer was injured after being attacked dealing with a domestic abuse incident in Walsall.
West Midlands Police Federation chairman Rich Cooke condemned the attack and revealed local officers are more likely to be attacked than anywhere else in the UK.
The female officer was punched in the throat and was unable to complete her shift after the incident in Walsall on Wednesday.
Mr Cooke said: “The officer was punched in the throat and was left struggling for breath.
