PSCO hit and injured by driver after asking them to turn off engine
A police community support officer was injured when he was hit by a driver in South Staffordshire who then left the scene.
Staffordshire Police has launched an appeal following the incident in Church Crescent, Essington.
Two PCSOs were on patrol when they spotted a blue Ford Fiesta.
One of the officers asked the driver to turn off the engine, but they then reversed towards him, hitting his left knee.
The car was immediately driven from the scene in the direction of Hill Street.
It happened on April 17 and any witnesses are asked to call police on 101, quoting 673 of April 17.
