Jury in trial of man accused of murdering widow in Cannock starts deliberating
The jury in a trial of a man accused of the murder of a widow in Cannock has started deliberating.
Lucy Clews, 39, was found with multiple stab wounds at her home, in Bath Road, West Chadsmoor, on December 29, 2021 after her family reported concerns for her welfare.
Thomas Grant, 27, is accused of murdering Mrs Clews.
Grant, of no fixed address, pleaded not guilty to murder and is standing trial at Stafford Crown Court.
