Drink driver banned from the road after hitting pedestrian in high street
A woman who seriously injured a pedestrian while over the drink drive limit has been banned from the road.
Manjit Jutla changed her plea on the day of her trial at Walsall Magistrates Court to admit causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving and driving while over the legal limit.
The 49-year-old was driving a Volvo XC60 along West Bromwich High Street on October 14 last year when she hit Mariusz Gorski.
After initially denying the two charges, Jutla, of Grove Vale Avenue, Birmingham, pleaded guilty on Friday.
