Noise row man found guilty of wounding Smethwick house mate who has since died

A man accused of fracturing a flatmate's eye socket in a row over late-night noise at a shared house in Sandwell has been found guilty of wounding him.

Rokas Lastakauskas, aged 36, repeatedly punched Gugandeep Sahota - who has since died - during the incident at the property, in White Road, Smethwick, on March 23, 2020.

Lastakauskas had denied the allegations, but the jury at Wolverhampton Crown Court, sitting at Park Hall Hotel, found him guilty of unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm on his victim.
