John Jones, an addict, was shot at point blank range after his dealer Ravi Talware and four other males invaded the "drug house" in Caslon Crescent in Norton, Stourbridge, to settle a £175 debt on February 25 last year.

His younger brother Sebastian, 27, survived stab wounds including a punctured lung when he was attacked by three youths who were part of the enterprise.

Mr Jones and twin brother Paul were known in Stourbridge as the Gummy Twins, in reference to their childhood toothy appearance.

In his victim impact statement Mr Jones's older brother Daniel, a businessman, stated: "John was killed by people he knew, some of whom he would have called friends, particularly Kevin. It just reinforces my belief that addiction reduces any form of morals and loyalty.
