Speeding driver with 'diabolical record' banned after racking up 26 points in two months
A 25-year-old driver with "the most diabolical driving record" has been banned from the road after totting up 26 points in six speeding offences over two months - taking his total to 41 points.
Speed cameras caught Marius Neculai on six occasions last year between February 11 and April 18.
Neculai, of Staveley Road, Wolverhampton, admitted the offences in March before appearing before magistrates on Tuesday.
On February 11 last year he was caught driving a BMW at 44mph in a 30mph zone on the A386 near Horrabridge, in Devon.
Eight days later the same car was spotted exceeding a 30mph speed limit in Plymouth by 18mph.
On February 26 another 30mph limit in Plymouth was exceeded when he drove at 40mph before a 50mph speed limit on the A38 Devon Expressway at Chudleigh between Exeter and Plymouth was flouted the next day when Nicolai drive at 68mph.
Neculai also exceeded a 30mph limit in Plymouth on April 8 by driving at 36mph, before being caught doing 44mph in another 30mph zone in the city on April 27.
