Drink-driver was twice the alcohol limit when caught at wheel of BMW on motorway
A Wolverhampton man who drove a BMW along a motorway while double the drink-drive limit has been banned from the road.
Jarnail Bajwa gave a breath test reading of 70 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, double the limit of 35 microgrammes, after driving along the M40 in September last year.
The 48-year-old from Marbury Drive, Bilston, admitted being over the alcohol limit while in charge of a motor vehicle and failing to co-operate with a preliminary test, when he appeared at Oxford Magistrates Court last Wednesday.
