A man has been charged with drug and weapon offences after police found cocaine, cash and a knife during a search in Cannock.

Officers stopped a grey BMW on Brooklands Road and searched the driver, at around 1.50pm on Wednesday.
They found a knife, cash, a mobile phone and a quantity of class A drugs.
Craig Sargent, aged 32, from Heath Hayes, Cannock, was arrested and has since been charged with possession of cocaine and possession of a knife in a public place.
He was due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday.
