New judge appointment for Birmingham Crown Court
A new judge has been appointed to serve in Birmingham. Andrew Duncan Smith QC previously a Recorder will now become a Circuit Judge.

He will take up his new post with the Midlands Circuit based at Birmingham Crown Court, in Newton Street, with effect from September 5.
Mr Smith was called to the Bar, Middle Temple, in 1997 and took silk in 2012. He was appointed as a Recorder judge in 2009.
