£25,000 worth of cannabis seized in Stafford

Around £25,000 worth of cannabis was seized when police stopped a vehicle in Stafford.

Officers posted on social media that they had a late finish on Friday night after discovering the haul of "vegetation".

A photo of the drugs showed 12 vacuum-packed bags full of what appears to be harvested cannabis.

The Central Motorway Police Group tweeted: "Bit of a late finish this evening for C Unit and @cmpgsgt after stopping a vehicle in @PoliceStafford that contained £25,000 worth of cannabis vegetation #countylines @StaffsPolice 4882/5453."
