A trial date has been set for a man accused of murdering a pensioner found collapsed at his own home.

Jay Lee Gallier appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court charged with the murder of Barry Johnson, 67, who was found with facial injuries at his flat in Dean Court, The Promenade, in Brierley Hill, on August 25 last year.

The defendant, 32, of no fixed address, will stand trial on June 6. He was remanded in custody until then at Friday's hearing.
