Firefighters and police were also called to the scene and Dudley Fire Station said the car involved was a red Vauxhall Corsa.

Dudley Fire Station posted on Facebook on Sunday evening saying: "We are currently at an incident where a motorcyclist has been involved in a hit and run.

"The road is closed on Southalls Lane, but if you have any information on a red Vauxhall Corsa that has left the scene prior to emergency service attendance, please contact West Midlands Police on 101."
