West Midlands Police had last week released a photo of 27-year-old Adam Baker, after he breached the conditions of the licence he was given when released early from prison.

The appeal encouraged people to contact officers with information of Baker's whereabouts – and a number of people tipped police off about a possible address in Oldbury.

Officers raided the property a short time later and found Baker hiding in an upstairs bedroom.

West Midlands Police offender management supervisor, Sergeant Karen Hunn, said: “It just goes to show that if you are wanted by the police, your time is always running out and we will find you.

“We would like to say thank you to everyone who helped with our appeal to find him. When people contact us with information it really makes a difference – thanks to the people that called us on this occasion Baker is now back behind bars."

Baker was wanted on recall to prison for breaching the terms of his licence. He was originally handed an 18-month sentence for occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) and is being returned to prison to serve the remainder of his sentence.
