Two men arrested as drugs seized in Rugeley
Two men have been arrested after being found in possession of a suspected class A drug in Rugeley.
The pair, who are aged 29 and 32, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug after their car was stopped on School Lane and a search was conducted by officers from Staffordshire Police.
The officers seized cash, phones and a quantity of a suspected class A drug in the stop, which happened at 6.40pm on Monday.
Officers also conducted a search of a property in Wolverhampton, where scales and cash were seized.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "Police seized cash, phones and a quantity of a suspected class A drug after stopping a car in Rugeley.
"The vehicle was stopped on School Road at around 6.40pm on March 1 where officers carried out a search.
"Following the stop officers conducted a search of a property in Wolverhampton where scales and cash were also seized.
"Two men – aged 29 and 32 – were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug. They remain in police custody.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
