Hearing on anti-social behaviour and breach of lockdown rules is delayed
A hearing on the closure order of a hotel shut over breaching coronavirus rules and “continuing” reports of anti-social behaviour has been adjourned.
The Himley Country Hotel was forced to close on November 13, and the hearing on February 12 has been postponed until March 2.
The closure order remains in place.
Councillor Roger Lees, deputy leader and cabinet member for planning and regulatory services at South Staffordshire Council, said: “South Staffordshire Council has used the powers available to reassure residents and to stop anti-social behaviour reoccurring."
Detective Chief Inspector Dave Wain from Staffordshire Police said: “We are working with South Staffordshire Council to ensure there is a long-term solution in place to reduce anti-social behaviour”.
Anyone who has any concerns about anti-social behaviour in their community can report it to the police by calling 101 or online.
