Man's ear partially bitten off in city centre fight

Police were called to reports of a group of men fighting in Washington Street, Birmingham city centre - and following a footchase officers used a Taser while arresting a suspect in the nearby Peace Gardens.

The man whose ear was hurt was treated by on-scene paramedics but he refused to be taken to hospital, say police.

A 27-year-old was arrested, but later released pending an investigation.
