Appeal to trace convict with links to the Black Country who absconded from prison
Police are continuing to hunt for a prisoner with links to the Black Country who absconded from HMP Sudbury.
Rory Allen left the open prison on Sunday, December 5, with two other convicts – including convicted Wolverhampton killer Lewis Daniel Thornton.
Thornton was tracked down in the West Midlands in December, but Allen, 33, and Daniel Gerald Ferris are still at large.
Police believe Allen, who has links to the Walsall and Wolverhampton areas, could now be in Bristol.
Officers are urging the public not to approach Allen if they see him – but to call Derbyshire Police immediately.
Allen was convicted of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin at Worcester Crown Court in 2018. He is described as black, around 6ft 2ins tall and has brown eyes, black hair, a black moustache and is of a thin build.
He also has "Tug" tattooed on his right arm.
Ferris, 30, was convicted of robbery at Birmingham Crown Court in 2018. He is described as white, with blue eyes, brown hair and of a medium build.
Ferris has links to the Birmingham area.
Anyone who sees Allen or Ferris, or knows where they are, should call Derbyshire Police on 101, quoting reference 906 of December 5.
Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
