Two men have been arrested after officers from the community intelligence team in Brierley Hill located the cannabis farm in Kingswinford yesterday.

More than 1,000 cannabis plants were discovered at various stages of growth across multiple rooms.

Growing equipment such as lights were also uncovered.

Weapons were also found

After searching the premises, police also found dangerous weapons including an axe and a pole with nails stuck in it which were seized.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Officers on patrol discovered a cannabis factory at a unit on Oakdale Trading Estate in Kingswinford just before 3pm yesterday.

"Around 1,000 plants were discovered and later seized.

"Two men found inside the unit and aged 29 and 36 were arrested on suspicion of drugs cultivation.

"They remain in police custody today."
