Three arrests as violence breaks out on Tipton street

Two teenagers and a man have been arrested after violence broke out on a Black Country street.

Multiple police cars, a police van and ambulances were spotted in Dovecote Close on Sunday evening.

Witnesses reported seeing a large group of people fighting with weapons on the residential road just off Horseley Heath.

Three people were assessed by paramedics but nobody is believed to have been seriously injured.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We were called to reports of disorder in Dovecote Close, Tipton, at just before 6.30pm yesterday.

"No-one was seriously injured but two boys, aged 16 and 17, and a 28-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of affray. They remain in custody for questioning."

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service added: "We were called by police at 6:32pm last night to an incident in Dovecote Close, Tipton.

"We sent the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and two paramedic officers.

"Crews assessed three patients and they were discharged at the scene."
