Darrol James had put out an appeal on Facebook for help with finding the trailer for his business Bostin Butties, which has disappeared from Hurst Business Park in Brierley Hill.

He said he had seen more than 7,000 shares on the social media site on Monday, November 16, and was subsequently contacted by someone who said they had seen the trailer.

Mr James said: "They told me that she had seen the signage from my pictures and was looking directly at the people who were stripping the trailer.

"She called the police and told me where the trailer was, in a small car park hidden in an industrial estate in Kates Hill in Dudley."

Mr James said he got to the site where the trailer was found, with police onsite, and was able to pick up the trailer, describing the condition it was in.

He said: "They had stripped all the vinyl wrapping and the signs off, taken the lights out and caused a lot of damage to the exterior as they were pulling it.

"It might be I can't get it back to working condition if the equipment inside has been seriously damaged, but at least I've got it back and can start to work on it."

Mr James offered his thanks to everyone on social media who had shared his post and done their bit to help him recover the £15,000 trailer.

He said: "It proves that social media isn't such a bad place and it's good to know that people could help us through sharing and posting for us."

A Go Fund Me page has been set up by Mr James' daughter, Paris, to help with repairs, which can be found at gofundme.com/f/bostin-buttys-rescue-funds
