Shop owner threatened with knife in robbery

A shop owner was threatened with a knife during a robbery in Staffordshire.

Two men were involved in the terrifying incident before escaping on foot with cash, cigarettes and tobacco.

One man allegedly held a knife to the shop owner while another acted as a lookout by the door.

The first man was approximately 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build, who was wearing a dark top with a grey hood, dark trousers and gloves, with a surgical mask covering their face.

The second was described as approximately 5ft 8ins tall, also of slim build, and wearing dark clothing. He also had a surgical mask on and something dark covering his head.

The incident happened on Pennymoor Road, in Tamworth, at around 8.25pm on Thursday.

Officers are looking through CCTV but are asking for any witnesses to come forward.
