Man arrested after armed robbery at Kidderminster pub

A man has been arrested after an armed robbery at a pub near Kidderminster.

The armed men robbed the Mare and Colt pub, on the A449 Worcester Road, Summerfiled, at around 7.25pm on October 26.

No staff were injured in the incident, while the men are alleged to have fled the pub in a dark coloured car.

West Mercia Police officers have now confirmed that a man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

The force is still appealing for witnesses.

Inspector Kirsty Hickling, from West Mercia Police, said: "A man in his 40s from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of robbery on Wednesday night by West Midlands Police officers in connection with the robbery at the Mare and Colt in Summerfield and is in their custody.

“I would ask anyone with any information please still get in touch."
