Father-of-one Stuart Towns, 34, who lived in Oldbury, suffered serious head injuries while working at Alutrade Limited, in Tat Bank Road, and died at the scene in July 2017.

George, 54, Pugh, 44, and Redfern, 59, alongside the recycling company, will face trial at the same court on February 21, 2022.

George, from Bromsgrove, Pugh, from Sutton Coldfield, and Redfern, from Rowley Regis, were granted unconditional bail to appear in court for a further hearing in October next year.

Paying tribute to Mr Towns after his death, his family said in a statement: "Stuart was loving, caring, generous, full of life and always had a smile on his face.

"He was always willing to help anyone that needed it and would never expect anything in return. His huge presence is greatly missed by us all.

"Stuart was a father of one, he was a loving son and brother, a good friend with a kind heart. He will be forever loved and always missed."

The family added that they hope their questions about his death will be answered now the charges have been made.
