Cannabis plants worth £200k seized from Penn address
Two hundred cannabis plants were seized from a property in the Black Country after a raid by West Midlands Police.
The haul of plants, worth an estimated £200,000, was discovered at an address on Wynn Road, in Penn, Wolverhampton, just after noon yesterday.
Officers are yet to make any arrests but an investigation has been launched to trace those responsible.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We seized 200 cannabis plants after executing a warrant at an address in Wynn Road, Penn, just after midday Thursday.
"No arrests were made and our enquiries continue."
Photographs taken at the scene showed dozens of marijuana plants packed tightly in a room underneath artificial lighting and wiring.
One photograph also showed trimmings from the plants packed into three clear bags.
