Teenager jailed after stabbing man in Lichfield
A teenager from the West Midlands has been jailed for three years after stabbing a man in Lichfield.
Nathan Michaels, aged 19, was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court on Tuesday over the incident on Reynolds Close on May 2.
The man was seriously injured during the attack which took place shortly before 11.30pm, officers have said.
Michaels, of Badgers Bank Road in Sutton Coldfield, pleaded guilty to a charge of assault causing grievous bodily harm.
Sergeant Tony La Planche said: "Carrying and using a knife can have fatal consequences and Michaels showed no compassion for his victim – leaving him lying on the floor, seriously injured and needing hospitalisation.
"We will always seek to prevent and prosecute these offences to keep the public safe and bring offenders to justice."
