Man, 54, charged with armed robbery at Tipton bookies
A 54-year-old man has appeared in court charged with robbing a betting shop in Tipton while armed with a knife.
It comes after the reported robbery at Betfred, on High Street, Princes End, at around 8.30am on July 17, when a man was said to have threatened a worker with a knife and stole around £140.
West Midlands Police have since charged a man with robbery and possession of a blade.
A spokesman for the force said: "We have charged a 54-year-old man after cash was allegedly stolen from a Betfred betting shop in High Street, Princes End, Tipton.
"Andrew Nolan, of no fixed address, was charged with robbery and possession of a blade on July 17.
"Nolan was remanded in police custody and appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court on Tuesday."
