Former Cannock police officer, 28, in court on sex charges
A former Staffordshire police constable is set to appear in court after he was charged with numerous sexual offences.
Philip Taylor, who was a Pc based at Cannock police station, is due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday.
The 28-year-old is charged with six sexual assaults, causing sexual activity without consent, possession of extreme pornographic images and publishing an obscene article.
Taylor was arrested on May 29, 2019, by an officer from the force's professional standards department.
At the time of his arrest, he was a probationary constable and he was dismissed from the force in February this year.
