Death threat suspects arrested as armed police called to Hagley
A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of making death threats after armed police were called to a car crash.
Witnesses reported seeing a gun in a car after a crash on Worcester Road, Kidderminster, at about 4pm on Sunday.
Armed officers found the car and stopped it in Hagley, where a man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill, affray and criminal damage.
Another man was arrested at an address in Kidderminster on suspicion of making threats to kill, criminal damage and possession of firearms with intent.
No firearms were found.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Around 4pm on Sunday 27 September, officers were called to reports on Worcester Road in Kidderminster that a vehicle was acting suspiciously had collided with another vehicle and that witnesses had seen the passenger holding a firearm.
"Armed officers located the vehicle and followed it to Hagley where they performed a safe stop on the car on Worcester Road without incident.
"A man and a woman in their 30s travelling in the car were arrested on threats to kill, affray and criminal damages charges and remain in custody and a third person, a man in his 30s at an address in Kidderminster was also arrested on threats to kill, criminal damage and possession of firearms with intent.
"No firearms were found either in the car, on their person or at the property searched in Kidderminster.
"None of those arrested have been charged at this time however all remain in custody."
