Police knife crime operation targets Wolverhampton Railway Station

The continuing battle to rid railway stations in the region of knife crime continued with a police operation in Wolverhampton today.

Officers from British Transport Police were present at Wolverhampton Railway Station as part of the #LifeOrKnife campaign by West Midlands Police.

Working alongside West Midlands Railway staff, the officers spent the day on Saturday, September 26 at the station talking to passengers as part of the operation.

During the course of the day, officers made one stop and search and discovered one knife.

The #LifeOrKnife campaign is a region-wide campaign to teach people the consequences of carrying a knife and the impact it can have.
