A cordon was placed around several properties on the road as police continued their investigation into the man's death which is currently being treated as ‘unexplained’. Two men, aged 47 and 57, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody for questioning. Ambulances were seen by residents at the property at around 5am with a lot of police activity. A Spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: ‘We’re investigating after the body of a man in his 50s was found at an address in Balsall Heath today (16 September).  ‘We were alerted by ambulance service colleagues after the man was discovered at a property in Strensham Road at around 5.40am.  ‘His death is currently being treated as unexplained and a scene is in place while enquiries continue.  ‘Two men, aged 47 and 57, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody for questioning.’ ENDS.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remained in custody this afternoon.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "We are investigating after the body of a man in his 50s was found at an address in Balsall Heath today.

"We were alerted by ambulance service colleagues after the man was discovered at a property in Strensham Road at around 5.40am.

"His death is currently being treated as unexplained and a scene is in place while enquiries continue.

"Two men, aged 47 and 57 years old, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody for questioning."

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a cardiac arrest at a property in Strensham Road, Balsall Heath at 5.14am this morning.

"Two ambulances attended and sadly one man was confirmed deceased on scene."
