Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after domestic disturbance in Wordsley
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after an incident in the Black Country.
Emergency services were called to Clock Tower View, in Wordsley, just after 8.30pm on Wednesday following reports of a domestic disturbance.
Three people were injured in the disturbance, a spokesman for West Midlands Police confirmed. A woman received head injuries and a man suffered knife wounds.
A 27-year-old man who has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and criminal damage was also injured in the incident and remains in hospital.
A spokesman from West Midlands Police said: "We were called to Clock Tower View in Wordsley just after 8.30pm on Wednesday night where a domestic disturbance resulted in three people being injured. A woman received head injuries and a man suffered knife wounds. Both were treated in hospital and discharged.
"A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and criminal damage after several vehicles were damaged during the affray. He was also injured during the incident and remains in hospital for treatment. His condition is not deemed to be life threatening or life changing."
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, two paramedic officers and a MERIT trauma doctor to the scene and treated the three injured people.
A spokeswoman for the service said: “We were called by the police at 8.40pm to Clock Tower View in Wordsley. Two ambulances, two paramedic officers and a MERIT trauma doctor attended the scene.
“Three patients received treatment by ambulance staff. One man suffered serious injuries and received trauma care on scene before being taken to hospital on blue lights.
“A second man and a woman were also treated on scene for injuries before receiving further treatment in hospital.”
