Two men charged over murder of Reece Cox to appear at crown court tomorrow

Two men charged with the murder of a man outside a pub in the Black Country are set to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court tomorrow.

Reece Cox, aged 24, died outside The Clifton pub in Sedgley just before midnight on August 15. He was found with fatal head injuries.

Ryan Nicklin, aged 22, of Limes Avenue in Pensnett and Sebastian Jones, aged 18, of Corser Street in Dudley, appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court today.

It means a total of six people have now been charged over Mr Cox's murder – with another man having been charged with violent disorder and actual bodily harm.

Wayne Burke, 22, of Queens Street, Pensnett; Shane Jones, 25, of Orchard Grove, Lower Gornal; Shaquel Halliday, 22, of Shadwell Drive, Lower Gornal; and Adam Ashwin, 19, of Monument Lane, Sedgley, have all been charged with Reece’s murder, as well as violent disorder and actual bodily harm.

The four men have already appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court – with their case adjourned until a plea and trial preparation hearing on September 25.

Tyrone Halliday, aged 24, of Inglefield Road, in Stetchford, Birmingham, was charged with violent disorder and actual bodily harm. His case has also been adjourned until September 25.

Police say enquiries are continuing with anyone with information urged to call them on 101 or through their website.
