Third person detained over murder of man, 26, in Birmingham

A third man has been detained on suspicion of murdering a 26-year-old man in Birmingham.

The 32-year-old was arrested in Northumberland early Thursday morning over the death of Thomas Rogers.

He will now be questioned by West Midlands Police's homicide team.

Mr Rogers died in hospital after he was found seriously injured near the junction of Bristol Road and Mill Pool Way, Bournbrook, on Saturday.

The victim's brother, Samuel Rogers, 30, of St Michaels Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, in Nottinghamshire, has been charged with murder alongside Ryan Hurt, 22, of Peel Crescent, in Mansfield.

West Midlands Police is still appealing for more information as part of its murder probe.
