Four people charged over human trafficking in Birmingham
Three men and one woman have been charged over allegations of human trafficking and sexual exploitation in Birmingham.
It comes after West Midlands Police found three Eastern European women - suspected of being exploited - at an address in Churchill Road, Handsworth, on Sunday night.
The three men - Marian-Andreeas Ioan, aged 28, Stelian Constantin, 21, and Madlin-Alin Balan, 19, all of Oxhill Road, Handsworth - have been charged with human trafficking for the purposes of sexual exploitation.
The woman - Gabriela Ghetea, 33, of Churchill Road, Handsworth - has also been charged with the same offences.
Balan has been charged with a further two offences of rape.
They all appeared before Birmingham Magistrates Court on Wednesday where they were remanded into custody for a further hearing at Birmingham Crown Court on September 23.
