Knives and axe found in police search of Walsall park

Police uncovered a handful of dangerous weapons during a search of a park in Walsall.

Items including two knives and an axe, were found at Palfrey Park, in Walsall. A syringe was also found by officers.

Photographs were published by police showing officers searching overgrowth at the park, on Dale Street.

Delves Police tweeted: "Officers this morning have conducted a weapon search in Palfrey park finding 2X knives, 1X syringe, and 1X axe! #SaferPalfrey"

Possessing a knife in the UK can carry a four-year jail sentence.
