Police and ambulance services were called to the BP filling station on Pedmore Road in Lye following reports of an assault at the garage.

Three ambulances and paramedics arrived at the scene at 12.30am on August 16 and treated four people for injuries, with three being taken to hospital.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "Four patients were given treatment on scene after suffering injuries before three were taken to hospital."

The station was taped off for several hours after the incident, with no indication given as to how serious the injuries sustained in the assault were.

The station has seen violence outside it before, with a previous incident in February 2019 seeing a fight break out and police called, but with no injuries at the time.
