Attempted murder arrests as teenager repeatedly stabbed in Staffordshire
Five men have been arrested after a 19-year-old was stabbed multiple times in a small Staffordshire village.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the attack in Great Haywood, between Rugeley and Stafford, this afternoon.
An air ambulance was sent after emergency services were called to a property in residential cul-de-sac Abbeyfields at around 1pm.
A 19-year-old man was found in a serious condition and taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds.
Officers stopped a vehicle on Tixall Road a short time later and arrested five men from Stafford.
A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and driving under the influence of drugs.
A further four men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
They all remain in custody and an investigation is underway, with Abbeyfields cordoned of throughout Tuesday afternoon.
Jamie Arrowsmith, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "We were called to reports of a stabbing on Abbeyfields at 12.58pm.
"One ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Staffordshire attended the scene.
"On arrival we discovered one male patient who was treated for serious injuries before being taken to hospital by land ambulance."
