Smethwick man charged after Worcester incident

A Smethwick man has been charged after a 21-year-old was injured in Worcester.

The male victim was injured in an incident at the junction of Vincent Road and Wylds Lane at around 4.15pm on Sunday, August 2.

Marius Anton Roman, 32, of Poplar Road, in Smethwick, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and causing injury by dangerous driving. He had been due to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court today.

Last week four other men, also from the Smethwick area, were charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident. They have been remanded in custody.

Detectives from West Mercia Police are continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.

Witnesses can call 101, quoting incident number 564i of August 2.
